Best Time to Visit

LocationThe Wild Ass Sanctuary is located in the Rann of Kutch, about 150 km from Ahmedabad. The area is well connected by road, making it easily accessible for travelers heading from major cities like Ahmedabad, Rajkot, or Bhuj.

Winter (November to February) The most pleasant season to explore, with a cool climate and thousands of migratory birds.

Summer (March to May) Can be extremely hot, with temperatures reaching 31°C in May.

Monsoon (July to September) The region floods with rainwater, transforming the desert into a seasonal wetland.

For safaris and birdwatching, November to February is the best time to visit.
